About me

I am an Indian born in Gorakhpur, a city in the eastern part of Uttar Pradesh. I am married to Mr. Brijesh Patel from Rewa, Madhya Pradesh. He is into Sales & Marketing. I am currently a housewife and have a son.

Before getting married I had worked as an Assistant Professor in MBA colleges.

I am a good cook. I like writing articles and thoughts based on my life experiences. I strive to be on time and meditate (Vipassana meditation) regularly. I always wear my smile and laugh on silly jokes cracked by my husband. I try to bring positive changes in myself. I am good at  managing tasks. I can express my emotions- happiness, love, care and also my difficulties and problems.

The Start

I read my experiences to my husband and told him that I want to get my writings published in a book form. He appreciated my writings and my goal. His support boosted my confidence.

Initially I used to post my experiences as whatsapp status. Later I was reluctant to post my experiences on whatsapp. Being a research scholar I realised that copyright is very essential if I have to authenticate my writings. I researched and gradually understood that the easiest and best way would be to have my own blog rather than publishing a book as learnings from experiences is an ongoing process.

I told my husband about my intention to start a blog and he supported me. His support was “His belief in my belief.”

The very first question that arose in my mind was who would be interested in reading my experiences and learnings. But soon I realised that writing about my experiences and learnings makes me happy. It’s about me and my happiness and not others so I decided to publish my blog.

Experience that gave me a New Direction

In the year 2014 I sat my first 10 day residential Vipassana meditation course along with my younger brother. Since then I have been practicing Vipassana meditation and experienced noticeable change in myself.

I found life is full of challenges and these challenges create problems like stress, tension, unhealthy relationships, health problems and distractions which did not allow me to achieve what I wanted  to achieve. The best way to deal with these problems is to have a solution which will eradicate the problem and if not eradicate at least minimize it.

Now I have become self-dependent for solutions to my problems.

I face my fears with a firm mind. I have started implementing time management in my life. I have defined my priorities clearly. I have started to put efforts to change myself and not others. I have experienced if the mind is healthy you are your own master and you achieve what you want to achieve.

I had always tried writing my experiences in a personal diary but had failed doing so. Whenever I tried writing too many thoughts kept on coming in my mind and I got confused which made me incapable of transforming my thoughts into meaningful words. I accepted that I can answer the questions asked in my examinations but can never have my own writings. But today I have started my own blog. I would like to give the credit to my healthy mind which I have attained because of the regular practice of Vipassana meditation.
